Best Positions For a Couple if you have a Normally Positioned Cervix

Although there’s not been any formal study on which position is the best one to help conception, one position does help a lot. The man-on-top position, also known as the missionary position can be helpful.

After sexual intercourse, place a pillow under the woman’s hips so that her cervix is basically sitting in a pool of semen. This gives the Sperm time to easily swim up through the cervix.

It’s important to note: It must be a small pillow.

If it’s too large then the sperm will sit behind the cervix which is not optimal for conceiving.

Best Position for Women with a Tipped Uterus

For women with a tipped uterus a great position is the ‘on all fours’ position. (doggy style)

This will give better access to the cervix for the sperm.

Are there any positions people should avoid when they are trying to conceive a baby?

Yes, avoid the woman on top, no sitting positions or standing either.  What this can do is cause the sperm to leak out which means there will be less sperm trying to get to the egg.
